I always just used a bleach mixture. Now you have me wondering whether I should put my live rock in the oven......lol.
I would rinse the sand off first just in case, but the saran wrap method works well also...
As long as he's still eating he will be fine. :)
I can't believe it...there is a blue hippo in a six gallon tank and no one thinks anything of it? Is it alright because it's a juvenile hippo?
I was gonna suggest Purigen! Steve stole my answer! Haha, but for real..that stuff is magic.
Might want to put egg-crate on top though to prevent any fish escape acts.
Awesome!
and I would go with mangroves...pretty much awesome
What do you need the fuge for? Nitrate reduction? To increase pods?
If your nem has good color and you have strong lights I wouldn't even bother polluting your tank trying to feed it right now while its acclimating....
It's Nitrogen, and its perfectly normal.

I have one that looks just like that, but mines colored differently. It is purple with bright, lime-green tentecles. I haven't removed mine cause...
That's one purdy tank. Has a chiller and everything, kudos.
Diatoms would be my guess. Will go away eventually, especially if you have a good CUC.
+1 On the Nori and Vitamins. Possibly nori soaked in garlic? Couldn't hurt.
I'd say just ship that frag to my house for decontamination.....just for good measure. lol
