Yeah, i've been scared a few times by molts.. especially from my boxer crab because I see him maybe once every 2 weeks... so if i see a molt i assume...
Yeah, the ballast is what essentially runs the bulb. You could run a higher wattage bulb on a 250w ballast - say a 400w bulb - at a lower performance...
