temp flux of 2 degrees is not bad. My tang was only thing to have Ick I would only treat it for now.

water change will temporaly bring down but you need permanit cure. I would sugest chateo or denitrater...
ick will live in fish and in gills usualy in morning looks better then evening. just cause there are no spots don't mean fish don't have ick.

that is cyano bac not algae and that is probalby due to your high nitrates lower no3 and it will go away
small tank + large worm = bad idea. I have bristle worms and tons of them but if they get that big I usualy take them out.

i run a ton of blue leg hermit crabs and also some narssours snails they make short work of anything dead.
it is probably a vermented snail or also some worms have long feeder strings or nets that they cast out to collect food. They will draw them back in...
anything freeze dried is going to loose some nutrition. Best nutrition is live second is dead third frozen fouth freeze dried.
if you have snails hermit crabs and a good clean up crew I wouldn't worrie about running anything extra

I always thaw my cubes in a specimen cup and I also feed cubes every day. But I split them between 2 tanks.
