Yep, they work similar to chaeto. Very beneficial. If I get enough in there I might not have to do pwc.

No problem. My pH fluctuates because I have a low alk salt mix. The buffer keeps it stable.

As long as your levels are ok then there's no reason to.:) but I would imagine in a sps heavy tank pwc would be important.

What test kit are you using? pH is VERY important. Low pH can kill corals.
Any suggestions on a small fish? I'd love to do a yellowhead jawfish but I don't think he'd like my 2" sand bed.
