im not very good with the more advanced aquarium chemistry but I'm pretty sure magnesium affects calcium. i think. norg?
i love the new station:)
get well soon.:) do you have a fuge set up?
nope, i ordered twenty. john from reefcleaners is known to throw in an extra snail or fifty:D haha same here. i went in with ten bucks, got a frag...
yep from that shipment. I'm going to go back soon and give them some more. 100 snails in a biocube 29= naaaasty.
will do:) the lfs guy is really cool. he cut the coral price in half because i gave him some snails.
what the buffer does is it raises and sets the pH at 8.3. my salt mix has VERY low alk so i have to use it.
alkalinity is what stabilizes pH. with a low alk you pH will be all over the charts. you want a higher alk to keep pH stable.
went to the fish store expecting to get a ten dollar frag, came back with 5 heads of button polyps, a kenya tree thingy, two brittle stars that hitch...
and by "large" i meen like 5.:p
going out to get a cheap frag tonight. ill be ordering a large shipment of corals from norg in about three weeks.:D
haha mine just nibbles.....for now!:O
nice:)
what do you think about the aragonite in a fresh tank?
thanks:) i had 10 neons in the tank before i tore it down and my levels stayed 000:D i just did large pwc.
Bump
Most softies are fast growers. Zoas shrooms... Oh and if you want a swimmy fish you should get a chromis!
Honestly 8.1 isn't too bad IMO. As long as it stays stable(that's the key) I wouldn't worry.
