    I still live the footprint of the 125 for our available space. But a 24" wide instead of 18" wide would be ok. But I fear it'd stick out too much...

    Hmmm...I would actually say ours is about 8" long. It fits with about an inch to spare in a 9.5 inch wide sump. Not including the pipe that sticks...
