    Yes.... Hydroids.... Remove them... if you have acoral close by they will sting the tar out of it... Along with that they will take over rather fast...

    what material for reflector

    I have use the Shinny side of aluminum Foil....?? Deff cheap.. and it works but not as good as todays reflector set ups.... Good Luck..!!!

    hermit crabs

    Not that i know of... they mainly are scavanger feeders.. Eating left over foods and well no longer livging fish on the botton of rock or sand beds...
