    my ph is 8.3 during the day and 8.2 at night... if u tested the last time at night then it will be lower than during the day....ph naturally...

    yeah, the diatoms may get pretty long and take over alot, if u want you can take a turkey baster and blow it off the rocks and sand, also u could do...

    its diatoms,, this is the sign that your tank is finished with the cycle.... test your params..they should be good.. at least IME diatoms is the sign...
