    should be OK, but you might get the dust spread about your tank. Make sure to wash any sponge elements off after 24 hours or so.

    You can buy ball valves at any home depot/lowes/ace etc. I do recommend a PVC gate valve though, as they are MUCH more accurate and easy to adjust....
