The ATI's weren't going completely out, they were dimming to color similar to that of moon lights. What could be causing the short? It ran 4 bulbs...
This is the longest they have been on and they don't seem to be getting hot. Strange that they have only done it with the stock actinics in.
I turned on just the blue plus and they have been fine thus far (knock on wood). They have only cut out when the actinics are on. The unit isn't...
I'll try it. If I turn the unit off for a few minutes, the ATI bulbs turn back on in full.
Yep. Same wattage as the stock bulbs. I ordered the bulbs online.
The stock actinics weren't going out, only the ATI bulbs. The light unit is a month old.
Just put them in and they have now faded to almost cmpletely off. It happens instantaneously. Unit feels a little hotter than normal too.

What's the advantage to individual reflectors? Much of a difference? Mine is a large continual piece that looks like to interconnected "M"s....
I would even consider adding to the entire back 1/4 of the glass. A tank at one of the LFS has done that and it looks fantastic.
Sounds like you need to switch these out :P.
Moon lights and actinics are more for your viewing pleasure and will provide very little light essential for growth. I would change out your stock...
Don't trust the test strips. They have huge inaccuracies. If your corals are showing no signs of stress, then things are probably fine. Use a liquid...
I love this setup. Keep adding onto the overflow, it looks great.
You're tank won't effectively cycle without rock. Add it now.
There are effects at a pH at lower pH (which is why phytoplankton shells are not found on deep ocean floors-dissolve before they settle). Corals can...
Keep your params in check and you won't have an issue. Algae usually tips you off when something is wrong, which is a good thing imo.
Never. Waste of money. If water changes don't keep your calcium levels up, then dose calcium.
Infection is commonly brought on by bad water conditions, injury, poor diet, or as a secondary infection in a fish which is already stressed by other...
Your lighting will be more than sufficient to house anything you desire with ATI bulbs.
