Keep ur eye on that trigger...they do not play well with others, and may make a meal of any of ur inverts.

U may go thru a cycle...i would make sure u keep an eye on ur params...if they are healthy hardy fish they will probably make it thru any small cycle...
You can buy live sand, but its still going to cycle..just faster usually. I wouldnt use gravel IMO
agreed...i love reefs too..but i already have a 125g reef ...no need for another :)
Yeh i would say to just keep up on the water changes, and get a vaccum and suck that stuff out...cut down the time you run the lights while trying to...
oh and as for the coralline....enjoy it while its new...you will be cussing at it in about 6 months.

i would think about maybe trying to buy a small fighting conch...it will help keep the sand bed stirred...u may have to replace him once he grows,...
how new is the tank? what kind of lighting? how much are you feeding?...hermits won't eat red slime...i havent found anything to actually eat it.....
what do you plan on keeping in the tank? if you plan on going reef, i would ditch the canister for a refugium set-up... maybe use the canister to run...
green cyano...its a bacteria...usually caused by overfeeding. Nassarius snails only eat food particles and stuff..get some different snails for algae...
