I would agree that it's blue-green cyano. And yeah, high phosphates will do that. How new is the tank?
Just the latest on the tank! Thursday, I had to go get more calcium, so I grabbed up a smaller cleaner shrimp. The one we have (Antennas), is the...
Me too!!! Just came here to report that LOL. It happened the other day as well, but was fine in between.
Did some people say why bubble algae is good? LOL
He's giving you the stinkeye LOL.
Hate to break it to you, but no, you won't. I have all regular sand and all the coarser stuff is on the top. That's how it works.
Dosing with calcium :cheesy:! BTW, love your batfish. How's it working out so far?

Definitely spinoid worms, not vermetid snails. Good guys. Majano, bad guy!
Gotta hate when you meet the neighbors that way!
Wow, very sorry to hear that, but glad to hear you're recovering!
I agree with that.
Diatoms consume silicate. When the silicates are consumed (from sand, powerheads, etc.), the diatoms will go away.
Yeah, but they don't eat it, they just turn the sand over. I'm assuming this is a fairly new tank, and in any case the diatoms will burn themselves...
