    yeah like everyone else posted..also you could just mix up salt to 1.025 and then just add some of that to your top off..it will slowly add more salt...

    yeah i leave mine on as well, especially if you ever feed your tank with cyclopeeze, you want a good bit of flow so it doesnt stick to the top..

    no wet skimming is pointless..the whole point of a skimmer is to pull out protein before it turns into nitrates..if you wet skim your not only...

    i would put new sand in the new tank and then let that sit a couple days and then check your params and then if their good start adding stuff...
