    Anyone using Caribsea Reef Sand?

    Yes, there are shells and that's why I don't like it. If I use larger grained sands, I like to siphon the top layers. The shells make that harder....

    I can see what looks like corallites through the flesh. That suggests LPS and a skeleton Vs a soft octocoral. The pic isn't clear enough to confirm...

    Anyone using Caribsea Reef Sand?

    Special grade is easy to vacuum. I don't care for Super Reef Sand but everyone has their preferences.

    Anything special to store a tank?

    It's not the best place to store it. However, glass has a very low thermal expansion coefficient so it doesn't usually stress the silicone too much....
