I wouldn't think you would need baffles. But how are you getting water from you main tank to your fuge? Usually this is were the bubbles are created...
What do you want to keep in the Tank?
Worms and most inverts only clean up what is dead or dieing IMO. I wouldn't worry about it at all J

Well I would suspect it believe the hawk fish would make a good meal. And will continue to think so until it become a meal.
I've never used a filter other than LR and I've never had any issues. Personally I do not feel a canister filter is needed in a reef tank with LR J
the Best is the Gel Super Glue. It is advised not to use Crazy Glue J

you can always use unions to have disconnect points a long the way this picture show 3 unions I have 2 are grey and one is white hope you can make...
It really depends on a lot of different factors. I use all external pumps and nothing ever needs to move so I use PVC. with plumbing from my pump...
