I like the scape as well! If they seem sturdy, I probably wouldn't use epoxy. Once you glue the rock, it's hard to make little tweaks here and there....
well, my sump goes intake (that I have some filter floss in kind of acting like a sock), then fuge (with sand and cheato), then skimmer, then return....

definitely keep an eye on your ammonia. I probably would have waited to add livestock with all new rock. You have more than enough in there to cycle....
