Alkalinity and dkh are the same thing. So, if you are spending extra time testing one or the other it's the same thing. Just a different measurement.

Yep, there's 3 aluminum plates. All three have the moonlights in them. And yes, it is a pita to work on the lights/change bulbs because of it.
I've never had to take off the side with the cords/switches.
