    The LFS is only selling it at $1 per lb more. You can find it on ebay a heck of a lot cheaper. I believe you are confused with the term "live rock"....

    No on the canister because they are a pain to keep clean. As for the skimmer...I have never used on of those but skimmers and lighting is one place...

    With 80lb of rock you should be ok with bio-filtration in the tank. Plus you will be adding more water volume so you should see no problems.
