I imagine it will not take long. Are you going to add any further rock, hopefully fully cured? How many fish are moving over and what type of inverts?
ewwww, thanks so much for sharing.. :freak3: Personally I like the anemone better than a butterfly fish, but unfortunate end for poor fish.
Yes, the rock from the existing tank will work well. Any filtration media like sponge or floss that you have will works too.
They do pretty routinely. If you start to see issues google treatment with Cipro. Small pieces of raw fish or scallops once or twice a month works...
Mostly it's a gimmic, if it cost more than regular sand do not bother.
LPS of some type, could be Favid...Go to on-line vendors and compare images. Saltwater Reef Aquariums: Live Coral for Saltwater Coral Reef Aquariums
Sorry I can not make it out. My thoughts are it's either an LPS like Blasto or Acans, or it's Rhodactis mushrooms.
Merged with the previous Walking Dead Thread.
Get an ammonia alert badge, feeding sparingly, use the right copper testing kit, do water changes as indicated so have water made up and ready....

Looking very good Reefbuilder.
Are you sure it's not lateral line disease? Need a better image please. Moved to----- Fish Disease.
Petco has the tank for 300.00. You'll have to build or purchase a stand. You'll need test kits, another powerhead. Honestly this is an expensive...
You can use just RO. I have had both tanks. Personally I am leaning towards the BioCube because modifications are easier, more skimmer options for...
Yeah no kidding. Beautiful colors in the current set up. The yellow colonys polyps add so much color next to the rose anemones.
May be give her a practice run through testing once or twice if you're out of town routinely. I am sure she was beside herself, poor thing.
Brilliant ;) And excellent. :)
Your inverts will be the first to show the stress. Ask the wife how the snails are looking? Ask her do the fish or the corals look stressed?
Can she do a test for mag? That is where I would start, no point in doing an intervention unless you know what the levels is. That sucks big time.
