If you are dosing iodine, I'd stop (unless you are testing for it). O-dosing iodine can cause pre-mature molting and even death.
Have you ever seen it eat prepared foods when you feed the tank? Have you tried garlic additives?
That algae may be irritating it or, smothering it. I don't have one so, that is just an observational guess.

I would try to get rid of it asap. I've got a rock that was removed and cleaned. It has since returned. I'd pull it out and clean it if possible....

I think it would depend on the corals/fish you decide to keep.
By kind of pump I'm assuming gph not brand? If gph, it will be determined by the flow you decide(gph turn-over) to have and the overflow you use.
