Totally wet is preferable over in wet paper, but most likely will not be a problem.

It should not as long as it does not get dry. Keep it wet and underwater preferably and all should be fine.

Definitely agree on the 65. I will say that the 75 is very nice though with the 3" to 4" more if your arms are long enough.
I wouldn't call it dumb but you seem set on the 75. I think you would be better off getting the 75.

Sorry to hear and I second the mesh screen cover. Bulk Reef Supply has some clear mesh which would diminish your light intensity the least.
