I would go for the tank raised one.
It most likely won't cause any harm because they have low flesh mass. It your maintenance is good then there will be no problems.
No it will be OK to leave it in the tank. Plates are known to regenerate after the die so don't be surprised to see growth coming out of it some day.
You should not leave it in more than 24 hours, 12 would be better

Gorgeous adds, congrats Kacy
It looks at though they could be sealed but it is hard to tell from the pics.
Congrats, gorgeous add
Corals probably OK, a pic of the wrasse would be a great help. I think the shrimp may be OK also.
Looks great, nice job on the rebirth
I had 7 in a 28 gallon bowfront, I lost one of them because it was too shy and did not get enough food. +1 to odd numbers and and more than you...
Sorry to hear, congrats on catching it early, your plan of action should work fine until you can replace the tank.
Beautiful colonies
No need to dose at 5.2meq/l. Natural seawater is 2.5meq/l.
Congrats on the tanks being on the way, and finding the leak and it not being critical.
I'd say it is splitting from the looks of the pic.
7 is as low as you want it to go, a little higher is better because it will allow you a safety zone.
My fish love it, I feed it to my LPS also.
Great shot
The 160 will do fine, it may have times when it doesn't pull out as much but that is no problem
