    glass or plexi under light?

    Glass would be fine if you are not going to have corals. If you are polycarbonate is best as it blocks the least amount of useful light.

    The GE will take care of a lot of the blue. It will have a blue tint to it but nothing terrible. If you have problems with coral colors fading...

    They are safe, don't know about them being beneficial or not. Having them means you have good water quality.

    Cleaning up a used tank

    Rinse all of the salt of with fresh water. Remove all of the calcium carbonate with vinegar and then rinse well. Elbow grease will come in handy...

    I would suggest staying away from the GE 6500K and Geisemann 6000K and 11000K aquablue as they have been linked with fading colors. They are awesome...
