    Wrong combo of lights?

    You will need to acclimate the lower light needing corals by shortening the daylight photo period to 4 hours or less and slowly increasing the period...

    Which lights would you get?

    Go for one that has at least a molded/formed reflector. The ebay one looks like it is a flat reflector.

    Pull out whatever you can get a hold of and toothbrush the rock after pulling it out ot the tank. Add please post a pic of the algae.
