    question about glass types

    If you buy it make sure the glass is about 1/4 inch thick. That is what my 75 gallon has.

    You need to have two ballasts to do two cords. If the unit has one ballast you will need to get another.

    what is wrong with P's clam?

    UVL super actinics have about 220 PAR. I believe ATI blue plus have around 370 with lots of actinic spectra. Actinic white is around 300.

    Not of any quality. To make the Wavepoint have two cords you will most likely need to purchase an electronic T5 ballast.

    The dark green tubular stuff is chaetomorpha. It is a good nitrate and phosphate remover. The lighter green looks like a type of calcareous algae....
