They like swimming in the flow of your vortech. You might even see them swim in formation in the flow. One will drop back and every one else move...
No problem, if they're swimming around now they will be fine. Most fish only need about 1 hour to acclimate to their surroundings.
Thanks
Good to know, I read that they should be fed 2 or more times per day. I do know if you have a good pod population that they will go after them.
You will like the way their color appears to change from bluish to green depending on how the light strikes them.
You're welcome. Order them from Reefgeek. They are packaged ridiculously well.
The T12 actinic is purple.
Looks great with the school in there.
He probably would have without the chromis, they are used as dither fish to bring out shy fish. The chromis are very active and need to be fed at...
It is hard to say. Buy an extra aquablue and replace one of the blue pluses. Aquablue is about 12KK. Always good to have an extra bulb on hand.
Congrats and enjoy the new school, they should definitely help reduce the clowns aggression.
If you are using actinic in the T12 put one bulb in the front and one in the back. Then get one UVL actinic white, one ATI aquablue special and two...
I agree add on the T12. I didn't mean ditch all the T5's, replace the actinics only.
Ditch the actinics they have very low PAR. Buy ATI blue plus to replace them or the geisemann equivalent.
One t5 bulb puts out more PAR than one T12.
I meant your T5's. What brand and color or kelvin rating?
The males dorsal fin is longer, the female is less colorful and has a pinkish cast to the belly.
10KK is OK. What is your current bulb selection?
