I had mine running 100% for 2 hrs. Ramped it up and down with a controller. That was after acclimating for a couple weeks. Mine was about 18" deep.

I'm having a little trouble understanding your drain configuration. From the drain line from the tank, is there a "t" or something else?
Doesn't seem like too many fish. How big is the tank? You can probably get away with some soft corals. Others here would be able to give more details...
