    Hard to say from the picture. Looks like some kind of gastropod/mollusk (I think I saw a radula). Does it have a shell or is it more "sluggish"....

    Yup, looks like a little red limpet. I believe almost all limpets are herbivores, using their radula to eat up film algae. Awesome hitch hiker!
