Oh, okay. I haven't used that fixture before. My guess is that the UV shield slides out after a coupe screws are removed, but that's just a guess.
Right. There are two types of metal haide bulbs. One has a screw-in end and one has a "double-ed" that locks in by applying pressure.
Double ended? Pull away from fixture

Update: The stand was disassembled and roughly 5 inches side to side, front to back and top to bottom was cut off before reassembly.
Well, the sand bed is less than 6 months old and it's no more than 1-half inch depth at the deepest point. In fact, it's bare in spots.
Any thing you guys feel is necessary for your tank/stand that I should look into? I.e. egg crate under rock?

I'm taking everything and placing it in a large brute horse watering bin. I'm going to transfer everything in one swoop after I match the water...
Completely redoing this stand using same wood. I am slimming it down considerably starting with the frame.
120 water testing.
55 to be transfered.
So it begins. From a 20, to a 55, to a 120 in 6 months. What's in store for 6 years? Why? Well, my 55 bracing is failing. I bought a 120 gallon...
I see an upgrade may be in your future. Want a 55?
Heads up, the 120 may come down around xmas
A new 55 wouldn't be much less than that
Haha I do enjoy the reactions. I do wish I didn't have to tear it down, but the bracing is about to snap. I was lucky to acquire a 2007 Perfecto 120...
Probably removing livestock Saturday morning.
Tank is coming down.
