    I would shoot for around 200 - 300 GPH and you could go slower, that way the fuge will have time to do its job and filter out your water... Water...

    Overflow water directed to Refugium

    How slow of a flow are we talking about here. My overflow doesn't end up directly in the fuge but i cant see why i would hurt if its low flow. JMO....

    Get your water moving and add a filter with some floss. Since its a brand new tank dont be afraid to stir up the substrate to get all that dust out....
