looks like sponge growth
I love ca reactors. Some of the best money you can spend in this hobby. Whenever we set-up a reef system that's over 80g we always recommend...
yup. turning your canister into a giant chemical media reactor would be the best use of it.
Also just noticed from your third pic. your drain pipe looks like it has its ball valve not fully open. May be causing a back-up in your overflow box.
From the first pic, your water level in the overflow box is too high. It shouldnt be going over the top of the horizontal pipe. Is your cap drilled?...
nice lil scopas. dont see too many of those
yeh, but swfo systems are what they specialize in. thy're main thing is constructing custom coral inserts to go with their tanks.
haha, trust me, those "unrealistic deadline" are completely normal and realistic. lol
hehehehe. when we ordered a custom tank once they were planning on having a seem along one of the back panels, which was kinda weird ;p there are a...
I've done 50%-75% water changes on reef systems. you just have to be very careful with matching the water parameters.
both the heat and nitrate levels could be culprits. there are honestly a lot of factors that play into something like this, but a 86F temp sticks out...
Thats regular silica based play sand. Fine for a number of freshwater aquariums, but I would stay away from it if youre doing a saltwater system
booooooo ;p, the false eye kinda gave it away
ya can lightly glue those pieces into place. a lil dap of reef gel and ure set
This going to be a reef system?
Those look like white ball sponges to me.
We use rubble rock to control fast growth. Place small pieces around the colony and as the coral encrusts over the rubble, remove the bits and...
go black!! ;p It'll look better ;p
What kind of reactor? A calcium reactor? If its for a 125g, I would go for the calcium reactor.
