    well is it going to be in-sump, hangon, or external to sump. For my 135 I went with sca-302 which is rated 180. It was cheap and does a great job....

    personally I run mine 24x7 but feed twice a day heavy. I dump mine every 3 days or so and damn it is thick green and stinky. Tank is mainly a fowler...

    Skimmer in my opinion. Nothing says you need to run it all the time but the amount of crap skimmers pull is crazy.
