My money would be on the Flame Angel.
In general, your sump should be 1/2 the size if your display tank. So something around 40 gallon should work for you.
In my 28 the water level is about 2"down and does fine with that. But much more and it probably wouldn't. Glad you at just confirmed the problem.
Hi and welcome to 3reef!
Figured it was a custom cube tank of some sort. Cool that they still sold it to you for the same price though. Feel free to start a build thread at...
Unless you have (or will have) fish that come from colder waters, 77° will be just fine.
Current makes some nice fixtures. What are the specs on this one, out of curiosity.
Whenever I move fish from a QT/HT to the DT, I still do a quick drip acclimation. Usually 10 minutes tops. Might not be necessary, but it is worked...
In case they can't provide the instructions, I am guessing that your water level is too low, but just speculation. How far below the edge of the tank...

A Maxijet 1200 will be fine. I use one with close to that head height and it pumps no problem. I use one all the time to do water changes where I...
Baking soda is the way to go. Mix it in RO/DI and slowly drip it throughout the course of a few hours. Raise it no more than 1.4 dKH/day IIRC.
Agreed with Vinny. I also keep my reef tanks at 77°.
Well, you actually can check alkalinity by testing change in pH. Very simply, that is what alkalinity measures, how resistant the water is to changes...
Semi OT, but not all tap water pH is mid 7. Mine is around 9. Depends on the treatment used.
Your 75 looks great!
For some more info, the 46BF it is in has been setup for 18 months. As you can see, it has plenty of live rock and macro algae, so it is not in a...
No worries on being negative, I appreciate any advice! The stomach itself definitely "bloated up" overnight like I stated. It is far larger than when...
