well the tap water could be the reason why the nitrates are so high. But still decrease the amount of food aand the frequency and see if that helps...
Yep the ammonia would spike first.
Have you added any new sand or Live Rock? A new cycle could have been started. Also it could be over feeding resulting in nitrate spike and cloudy...

As long as he's eating, soak the food in garlic and selcon and it should go away within a week. If you like, you could also just QT the tang instead...

I'd say leave them be. Don't worry to stress them out by netting them and putting them into a new environment. Try soaking their foods in garlic...
