Sounds like a very nice build to me (albeit an expensive one!).
I would just get a new 12V, 500-1000mA power supply and be done with it. You can get them for like $3 shipped from China on Ebay.
Beautiful Tony! Is that a Genicanthus bellus male I see?
Basically aesthetics as you thought.
I have never done it while the tank was filled, so hopefully someone else could chime in. You could always drain out the tank as much as you can to...
He was being funny (I laughed at least). Back OT, I honestly don't see a 5 gallon as a good place to start back up, or to try and setup for under...
+1 I think 3' would be minimum (and even that would feel a bit squished)
I use an Eshopps S-150 cone skimmer on my 125 and really like it so far. Small footprint, extremely quiet, you can fully disassemble it, nice large...
+1 I have done double baffles for the skimmer side and single baffles for 'fuge on all of my sumps without any bubble issues.
Is this a new build? If so, you can temporarily move the center brace out of the way to get the sump in, and then re-install it after. I did this...
How are you with basic programming? I have two Reef Angels (one for my 125 and one for my 28) and love them. I have no experience with Apex though.
Looking very good! Are you going to do a drilled return? (from the pics it looks like you just have a drilled drain)
Sorry for your loss :(
+1 nothing at all wrong with what he did. Now if the cashier gave him back a $20 bill instead of a $1, that is when morals come into play ;) Think of...
Disease or not, starting a tank off with an aggressive fish is not going to lead to success. Either way my opinion is the clown should be returned or...
15 years freshwater, 15 months salt water :) Currently have the following (all SW): 125G mixed reef w/ 40G & 29G sumps 28G reef tied into 40G long...
Seriously. I did read the whole thing as well. Very interesting. And Alex, you still don't get my sense of humor huh? The lowest bid on the...
Wow, that light would have been fine for a 28/29 gallon cube ;) Looks good though! I would go with 60° optics to minimize light spillage.
That's always exciting :thumbs_up
So should we say congrats that your wife is now a Managan? ;D Seriously, congrats though!
