i'm not sure, i'm just throwing out possibilities. My thinking was that if a snail covered your sensor, it might misread this as a high water level...
Are your sensors in the sump or DT? could any critters be messing with them? possibly a snail covering the sensor?
The only time I hear the alarm is when the water level in my sump is too high. Did you try cleaning your sensors?
