55 gallons is def not enough to house two diamond gobies. Maybe 100 gallons, but def not 55.
You can try a twin spot goby but good luck finding one. lol
firefish are great. Yellow clown goby, neon goby, or lawnmower blenny. All good choices. I would limit it to two though.
