Best to wash it out in tank water to avoid killing beneficial bacteria.

I thought a purple tang for £90 was pricey for a tang... IMO I wouldn't take the risk especially if it was mail order, I would want to see it...
I agree removing all fish and placing into a QT will be very stressful and will not help your livestock in the short term. QT are good for new...
