They may hang out near each other in the tank, or they might not, but I don't think you will get a true "schooling" effect in a 29 gallon tank.
The green algae is halimeda, I believe

I assume you have a canopy? Have you though of modding your 4 bulb fixture and putting it in the canopy (with ATI Blue plus/Coral Plus bulbs)? Maybe...
Is this a 4 bulb Coralife fixture?
Have they been losing color, to more of a brown appearance?
