    I wouldn't use the glass tops either. The best option is "bird netting" IMO...doesn't have much effect on light penetration, but keeps your fish in....

    I run all my ATO's as simple gravity fed. Simple, cheap and effective, LOL! But all my tanks have areas to but them where they are not an issue....

    They will eat fairly large chunks of food (1/2"-1")...I use some tongs to drop various types of meaty raw seafood into it's tentacles.
