in my opinion, i think your moving way too fast matt. your tank will cycle, have you been testing your water for nitrites,nitrates and ammonia? those...
when did you start his matt? did you cycle? it sounds like youve been moving kinda fast. theres no "proper" way to stack the . other thqan making...

ive only ran the both. and found the 1 month for carbon , and 2 for phos , is pretty much the effectiveness of it.
i run both. reactors from 2littlefishies. i replace the carbon monthly. the phosban every 2 months.
