Aiptasia usually don't have multiple colors. Looks more like the pic of the rock anemone IMO.
Did you rinse the sand first? If not it might take awhile for water to clear. I would say don't run the pump, it will just keep it cloudy.

Mine does this too. I put a little sponge on the outlet. Fixed it right up. Their big bubbles caused by the splashing water in the return pipe.
