Imagine on of those as a LR hitchhiker. What mantis shrimp??
That tank is really cool. i didn't even know there were tanks like that. You plan on using a blue or black background?
Just make sure you really like the fish you get. If you don't really like any of the triggers you can get, there are lots of other fish choices.
To be honest I only really researched the pinktail and niger because i wanted a less aggressive fish, so i don't know much about the other triggers....
sorry, forgot about that. It would be kinda tight front to back in the 55. marinecenter recommends a 55 for them but they recommend smaller tanks...
Did you consider a pink tail trigger? I have one and it's a cool fish. It was a little shy at first but now it's always at the front of the tank, it...

One more thing, if your sand bed was deep and old, you should be careful when disturbing it. maybe remove livestock first. I have no first hand...
I think if you use the sand and rock from your old tank along with base rock and sand you should have much less of a cycle, but there should still be...
bump
What's the alternative? Looks like this will be a great tank. I can't wait to see some water in it.
You shouldn't put stuff like the live shrimp into a tank that hasn't cycled. It could probably die. Your LFS should have advised you about this....
tank looks sweet
How old is your tank? Did it already cycle?
