Hey ! You owe us a pic!
Great start. Beware that when some of the SPS start growing they are going to have to be moved.
That is not picture, it's a thumbnail!`
Most likely for the Chromis to school they need to be of the same species and also it is best to buy them all from the same tank in the fish store....
Pardon me, make that .25 or .50
I have had kissing chromis too. They are about your safest reef fish really. Very peaceful and active. A definite benefit to the water column.
They can alter pH and according to Saxby you want phosphates at 5 not zero for optimal coral growth.
Lucky you. I wish I had room for more fish. Did you pick anything up?
Ask and you shall receive: Catalina Aquarium SUMP/REFUGIUM FOR 70 GAL TANK [IMG]
A sump is your BEST bet and allows for much greater flexibility in your system.
Good info, think I'm going to aim for more of a wet skim and lay off the Vodka dosing...at least for the tank.
A day late but here they are: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
That's why my female is always sporting eggs. I had no idea why she was always with eggs. k+
Talked to my most experienced reefer friend and he does 3-4 changes a year. Beautifully packed 90g mixed reef. Who knows.
5-10 is tops in my experience. But things are different in every system.
I haven't seen a purple turn before. Very nice.
I don't hear my mag but I sure hear my SWC skimmer pump....
All at the same time is a must. You want them all from the same tank at the LFS to try to ensure they are all from the same school in the first...
Bristletooth IMO.
I have a mag 7 on my 72, works like a champ.
