    Just give it another day or two..I wouldn't be surprised if the cold shocked it a tad.. It looked very healthy beforehand, so It should bounce back.

    Tangs are pretty prone to it. We both learned that the hard way. Since the parasite its guaranteed to be in your system now I would still do the hypo.

    storing salt for a long time

    Pretty sure it'll keep fine as long as it stays dry..salt is used as a preservative so shouldn't it preserve itself? lol
