Put his tank right next to the other tank. Then he can see all the other fish, and wont be so lonely. ;)
They Sound like mini brittle stars. They wont get very big and are safe. I have tons of them in my tank.
I have the 4x54 odyssea pro. It works great. The stock bulbs are crappy. Just get new bulbs and it works fine. Cant beat it for the price. :)

Really? the dwarf ceriths in my tank are the most active of all my snails. The stay on the substrate during the day, but as soon as the lights go out...

+1 on swagger87. Cyano is slimy and will blow off fairly easy. If its hard and flaking off, probably coralline.
