    Thats a lot of light for a 55 gallon. Depending on the tank that the corals were coming from they may need to be acclimated to your lighting set up....

    I dont think you even need the 36 inch ai sol on a 40 breeder. 1 light can cover my cube and it is 20x18. I think two ai sol fixtures would do it....

    You will probably want to go larger than a mag7, its only rated at 700 gph at 0 feet of head. add in 4 feet of head and were talking around 400....

    yes, it will cycle pretty quick probably because of the live rock and sand coming from an exsisting system. The water isnt what matters in the cycle.
