Fiberglass is quite strong, some cars are made out of fiberglass. I would immagine that if it were done right and were thick enough it would work...

A little update today. I ordered my ro/di unit and mag7 return pump from BRS. I also place an order with glass holes for a overflow and return kit....
Nope, i have the Fluval Chi with a par 30 over it.
Yeah the floating box thing is the filtration, I just took mine out and threw on a aquaclear 70 and a boostled par 30.

That depends on your bio load. Will you be adding fish and coral? You could maybe try it without the skimmer but be ready to purchase one in case...

depends on the species kept, haha i had a turnover rate of 88x in 5 gallon back when i had the powerhead and a large hang on filter.
you can sure give it a try. for your tank 1300 gph in overflows equals about 44x turnover which is pretty good, it just might be a lot of flow from...
