you don't NEED to feed it..i have tried feeding mine a few times..i'm not sure it ever really ate anything..the only euphyllia that i can get to eat...

Coral wise you will want to stay with the hardier ones such as softies and maybe a few LPS..mainly because with only 5 gallons it will be difficult...
