    Thanks for the tip, i feed the corals twice a week with mysis..But i dont think that would have a major effect on it, since i am doing weekly water...

    I am blowing off rocks, i have a 29g biocube, so i dont have a sump :/. I feed 3 times a week, i change out carbon every 3 weeks i wash the filter...

    Make sure its in good flow, IME they like lower temp at like 76 or soo, but be sure no nuisance algae is getting on it, that will make it mad.

    High Nitrates

    10-20ppm is not that high, my tank runs at about 25-30ppm..My tank is fine though, i only have LPS and softies though.

    Its most likely the evaporation just collection on the hood, you could put fans on the hood as said above..Or you could try putting a glass hood over...
